18 th Annual Scholarship Gala

Funds from this event are utilized to provide scholarships for deserving graduating high school seniors from Lufkin and Angelina County Communities.

 

Your support to this effort is crucial to the success of our many qualified students that aspire to attend college after graduation.  

 

There were ten $500 scholarships awarded to the Class of 2025, and three more sponsored by CHI St. Luke Hospital. In addition to these scholarships, there will be two community awards and one presidential award presented.

 

The 2025 recipients are the Angelina County Citizens Chamber. Lufkin chief of police David Thomas. The presidential award will go to Johnny Giles, past president of Concerned Black Men of Lufkin.

 

The organization will also recognize new president Carlton Teal.
